Shannon is already worried about loosing her husband for the “season” now that Michigan football starts today. To make it even better called up my dad told him he should fly in for the Oregon game and POOF it happened! He booked his ticket this morning and we’re headed to the Michigan vs. Oregon game next week in Ann Arbor! We have good friends in Ann Arbor, Matt & Trish Crigger and through them we seem to find tickets every year to at least one game. I’m very excited to be able to take Dad to a game, his last time at the Big House was like 1975 or so (although it was a Michigan vs. Ohio State game that he went to). I will admit this is my favorite season of the year. Michigan starts off the year ranked 5th in the nation so we’re looking forward to a great season of football. For those of you who haven’t heard in one of the worst upsets of all College football (possibly ever) and without a doubt the largest upset for a Michigan fan we lost to Appalachian State (we basicly just put them on the map: Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northwestern North Carolina). Its very true that this loss was a very difficult one to swallow, possibly the hardest ever given that this was going to be a season of maze and blue. As quoted from ESPN website:
“We’ll still be talking about it a few decades from now. Especially in the locker rooms of every huge underdog, where they’ll say, “If Appalachian State can beat Michigan, why can’t we shock the world, too?”
I hate the idea of being “the” motivational loss to all those chumps for years to come (you can tell I’m wounded can’t you). This was a devastatingly sad weekend but next weekend will be better Dad and I will be at the Big House (and tickets just got cheaper with the loss).

you are hilarious. I can understand how your wife might be afraid she’ll lose you to the games. not like it’s ever happened before though.
